Descrizione
Polyminix is a game of logic and concentration, with different levels of difficulty. Each player must combine the individual pieces (pentominoes, tetrominoes, etc.) to cover the geometric shape drawn on the card.
Remove the forbidden pieces, find the missing pieces and combine the individual pieces, of the most disparate shapes, to cover the entire available surface. Fit the polyomones and create the required figures in the shortest possible time.
Content
- 60 cardboard polyominoes: 4 kits of 15 pieces
- 49 large format cards: 98 geometric figures to fill in for 3 levels of difficulty
- 2 wooden dice
- 1 scoreboard with 4 wooden pawns
- 1 instruction manual with game rules and 36 problems to solve
With Polyminix you can play two different games.
In the first game, it is the turn die that defines the scoring method. Each player then takes 1 or 2 cards from the deck and performs the challenge established by the challenge die, covering the geometric shape drawn on the card.
In the second game, however, it is the turn player that has to decide how the score is calculated.
Then the two dice are thrown, the result of which will give a problem to be solved (for example: create a square with side 5), indicated at the intersection of a specific table. The first player to reach the finish line wins.
Polyminix was one of the games used during the national competition Matematica per tutti, organized by CreativaMente ToKalon
